Hello everyone,

I’m thrilled to be making my first post on the E.V.E.N.T.S. The Villages, Florida blog and website! This platform has been an incredible resource for our community, and I’m excited to continue this journey with you all.

First and foremost, I want to extend a heartfelt thanks to Frances Rolph for entrusting me with the privilege and honor of maintaining and nurturing this blog and website. Frances tirelessly dedicated herself to creating a space where Villagers could stay informed about the various groups and activities that they might be interested in. Through her hard work, she has made it easier for everyone in The Villages to find opportunities to get involved and connect with others.

Frances’s vision was clear: to provide our community with a platform to share and discover local events, groups, and activities. She has truly been a beacon for supporting group leaders, empowering them to share their flyers and announcements, and promoting the rich knowledge that residents have to offer. Alongside her close friend Lucia Gladchtein, Frances has built a treasure trove of information and created a thriving community over the past six years.

Some might say that as we age, we have nothing left to offer. But I firmly believe that we have only just begun. Our community is vibrant, diverse, and filled with brilliant and successful individuals who are eager to continue learning and sharing their wisdom. It’s my deepest desire to uphold Frances’s legacy and ensure that our platform remains a wellspring of new insights and connections.

Let’s focus on the joys of life, the excitement of learning, and the beauty of community. Politics can be left to the politicians and religion to the ministers; here, we’ll talk about life itself. If there’s a topic you’re passionate about, a question you’ve been pondering, or if you simply want to spark a discussion, please let me know.
